This includes collaborating with business teams to define high-level requirements, investigate industry best practices, identify potential software vendors, and analyze software solutions for environmental fit. Pro-actively engage in initiatives and projects to ensure all requirements are met; align technology teams with the strategic direction for Enterprise Architecture and Domain organizations; and ensure the organization stays informed on emerging technology trends. We are looking for an individual who can contribute to the improvement of a portfolio of business applications through application of architecture standards and principles. The individual in this role must be very technical but also able to quickly develop a solid understanding of Clients businesses. The individual in this role influences decisions through a combination of technical and business domain knowledge. Additional Notes: This EA will be working with the Director of Ent Arch; she is new to the company and currently an independent contributor. She cant keep up with the demand and needs a right hand to support her. This person should be a good listener, and have strong communication. They should NOT be assertive/aggressive with direction with the business, things can be escalated to the HM. This person needs to be vested in research and potential resources available and providing insight on what will best support the businesses, stay open minded and agnostic. The businesses are VERY bought into new products, as a lot of the work is still manual (excel, pp, etc). The business is looking forward to more automated solutions. This is an example of a companys products growing quickly, and now IT needs to catch up. This EA needs to be articulate with strong integration technical arch skills. SFDC, WD, DOMO, Sitecore; someone stronger in WD, that would balance out the director. Responsibilities: Collaborating with business teams to understand future needs and define potential solutions to meet those requirements. Specific projects may include: Inventory Planning Revenue Recognition Intranet site Defining preliminary solution architectures which enable the achievement of delivery goals while also achieving progress towards strategic IT objectives Delivering decisions frameworks that clarify the trade-offs between various alternatives in terms of business value Research technology solutions to automate and improve business processes Influencing others to align architectural solutions through deep technical knowledge, strong insurance domain knowledge and the ability build trusted relationships with IT and business partners. Ensuring compliance with IT application, development and security standards and policies.
