Role: Release Train Engineer (RTE) Location: Irvine, California (Initial Remote) Specialized Knowledge & Skills Must have good understanding of SAFe agile framework; working experience & SAFe certification preferred. 2+ years of proven experience as a RTE handling multiple disciplines / technologies / processes related to the position as well as 3-5 years of experience managing teams and / or significant complex Agile projects. Demonstrated RTE experience with Engineering and Implementing enterprise level software applications. Ability to utilize program-level metrics for the purpose of leading meaningful retrospection and facilitating ART improvement. Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games. Multiple years experience in the Scrum Master role, ability to determine what is scrum and what is not. Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices. Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. Strong knowledge of the agile work management tools (i.e. Confluence, JIRA, VersionOne) & SDLC in delivering critical product / projects in SAFe environment. Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency. Familiarity with business context and/or relevant technologies alongwith modern delivery practices.
