Please let me know if you are interested in the position Title : Java Architect Location : Madison, Wisconsin, or Boston, Massachusetts USA hybrid Visa : Only USC/GC Duration : 6 months C2h Job Description We are hiring an Architect to join our team on a hybrid basis! Responsibilities: Provide expertise during the initial phases of projects, including estimating resources, skill requirements, and timeframes. Identify tools and technologies, and participate in proof of concepts. Analyze high-level system specifications, business requirements, and use cases. Convert this information into detailed specifications and system design plans for the development team. Understand and identify system dependencies. Consult with others to validate complex design decisions and provide advanced coding expertise to mitigate high-risk features or technical challenges. Document design decisions, estimating assumptions, code modules, and performance metrics as required by organizational standards. Define, conduct, mentor others, and participate in various testing phases (unit, system integration). Prepare, lead, and participate in development walkthroughs. Collaborate with team members to ensure the effectiveness of system flows, data usage, and manual or automated processes to verify requirements. Requirements: Proven experience in providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service. Demonstrated leadership experience with hands-on development in Java and AWS (GCP or Azure is fine too). Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and communicate complex software/systems. Experience in developing different solution-delivery and design approaches for customers. Proficiency in developing complex software/systems using one or more programming languages. Ability to analyze and estimate project size and work efforts for software solutions. Experience in providing technical guidance and leadership to less experienced staff. Extensive knowledge of software development and design standards and methodologies. In-depth understanding of infrastructure technologies, operating systems, and the interconnectivity between infrastructure platforms and software tools. Comprehensive knowledge of the systems development life cycle (SDLC). Solid understanding of application architecture and design alternatives. Knowledge of integration and migration strategies and technologies. Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise development environment Previous work experience as an Architect Strong experience in Java and the Spring Framework.
