Business System Analyst Location : Fully remote to start (due to space constraints), with a hybrid schedule as needed- Detroit, MI | Lewisville, TX | Jacksonville, FL Duration: 12+ months Visa: Only USC/GC Interview: Video Job Description: We are seeking a Business System Analyst with a strong data background to support the configuration and optimization of The clients' Auto Loan Origination and Decision Engine platforms. This role is best suited for someone with 12 years of experience, a strong foundation in SQL and Snowflake, and familiarity with low-code platforms. Prior experience in finance, auto lending, or loan origination is highly preferred, as is the ability to bridge technical and business needs. This is a NO CODE / LOW CODE ROLE! Key Responsibilities Translate business requirements into actionable system configurations in the client's Loan Origination and Decision Engine systems (e.g., FICO DMP). Conduct data analysis and validation using tools like SQL and Snowflake. Use Postman for unit testing and API validation. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across IT, Risk, Finance, Product, and Business Operations. Review policies, procedures, and project documentation to understand business requirements and identify system impacts. Support production issue analysis and troubleshooting, configuration changes, testing, and production rollouts. Apply strong critical thinking and logic to implement changes with risk mitigation in mind. Document system changes, logic updates, and testing procedures with clarity and detail. Required Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 12 years of relevant experience in system analysis or software configuration roles. Strong SQL and Snowflake skills. Experience with Postman for unit/API testing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable working in an Agile development environment. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to low-code platforms such as FICO DMP (Decision Management Platform) or similar decisioning/LOS systems. Programming experience with Python (preferred) or Java. Familiarity with Pentaho, Groovy, API creation, or DBaaS tools. Background in auto finance, loan processing, or general finance concepts (e.g., amortization schedules, interest rates, P&L). Experience creating or analyzing workflows and converting statistical models into logical system configurations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Nice to Have Experience or certification with FICO Originations Manager or Decision Management Platform (DMP). Prior work in auto lending, fintech, or loan origination systems.
