This is all around GCP/Python. We dont need a DevOps engineer. This is a hands-on engineering role, requiring deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the organization migrates its data and applications exclusively to GCP. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building scalable applications, APIs, and data pipelines that support big data analytics, real-time insights, and machine learning at scale. This role requires expertise in processing petabyte-scale data, cataloging, transactional data, and telemetry signals, leveraging GCP-native services. Must Haves: 10 + years of software industry experience with a minimum of 4+ years as a technical leader. MUST: have Hands on experience with GCP development and architecture, commands and experience designing & optimizing software and data engineering pattern 5+ years leading technical architecture initiatives that impact many value streams. 5+ years designing and developing distributed systems, employing a disciplined approach. 8+ years of mastery with development languages (Python, SQL, Java, C#, Go, etc.). 8+ years of relational databases, including in the cloud. 5+ years of non-relational databases (document stores, KV stores, caches). 5+ years architecting solutions in any major cloud Strongly prefer GCP 5+ years with micro-services architecture, APIs, real-time system integrations. 5+ years of automated unit and integrating testing. 3+ years of experience and mastery with Python. 3+ years with asynchronous messaging. 1+ years with Machine Learning or large language models in a production environment. Nice to Have: Experience building and operating large scale distributed systems. Experience with SAFE practices or able to work in SAFE practices and agile methodologies. Experience related to security-oriented projects. Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps. Software or analytics experience within the healthcare industry. Strong architectural skills, including diagramming Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize data-intensive applications, APIs, and backend services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Build scalable and efficient data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage. Implement LLM-powered solutions, machine learning pipelines, and real-time data processing frameworks. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud-based data platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data architecture decisions and software engineering best practices. Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to engineering excellence within the team.
