This role will serve as the liaison between the test drivers and research & development teams, ensuring smooth execution of testing programs. The Fleet Manager will incorporate aspects of program management, site coordination, and location management to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of fleet operations. Key Responsibilities: Fleet & Test Operations Management: Oversee daily operations for vehicle and powertrain durability testing. Manage scheduling, logistics, and coordination of test vehicles and personnel. Ensure compliance with testing protocols, safety regulations, and quality standards. Team & Driver Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between test drivers and research staff. Assign tasks to lead drivers and ensure proper execution of test plans. Support training initiatives to enhance driver capabilities and adherence to test protocols. Site & Resource Management: Qualifications: Additional Information: This is a critical role in shaping the future of automotive durability testing, ensuring seamless coordination between test operations and research teams. Oversee test site operations, including facility maintenance and resource allocation. Ensure proper setup of test vehicles, equipment, and data collection tools. Work with engineering teams to troubleshoot operational issues. Data & Reporting: Track vehicle performance, test results, and fleet utilization metrics. Provide detailed reports and feedback to research and development teams. Identify areas for improvement in testing processes and efficiency. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the liaison between test operators and internal research teams. Coordinate with engineering, safety, and logistics departments to align testing objectives. Provide status updates to senior management regarding fleet performance. Education: Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Experience: 5+ years in automotive testing, fleet management, or durability testing. Prior experience in program management, test operations, or location management is a plus. Skills: Strong leadership and team coordination abilities. Knowledge of vehicle durability testing and powertrain performance evaluation. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to analyze test data and generate actionable insights. Proficiency in fleet tracking, data management, and reporting tools. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment. This role will require on-site presence at vehicle testing locations. Occasional travel may be necessary to coordinate testing activities across different sites. The ideal candidate should have a passion for automotive research, testing, and innovation.
