As a Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business rules, ruleflows, and rule templates. You will integrate decision services into business applications, deploy rulesets to both test and production environments, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are met. You will also be involved in training customers on business rule management and ensuring the robustness of applications through testing and debugging. Key Responsibilities: Create business rules, ruleflows, and rule templates based on business needs. Design and develop rule projects in alignment with the organizations business requirements. Test and debug business rule applications to ensure functionality and performance. Integrate decision services into business applications to automate decision-making processes. Deploy rulesets to test and production environments and ensure smooth transitions. Train customers on the efficient management and use of business rules. Collaborate with business analysts to define business requirements and construct domain-specific vocabulary. Incorporate valid business values into domains for the development of accurate and relevant rules. Construct business rule test suites to validate and verify rule logic. Synchronize rule studio codebase to maintain consistency and quality across development environments. Generate HTDS WSDLs for rulesets to facilitate communication between systems. Essential Skills & Experience: Proficiency in IBM ODM (Operational Decision Management), Java, J2EE, WebSphere, and XML. Solid experience working with Oracle or other relational databases. Expertise in test-driven development (TDD) and experience in a continuous integration environment. Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Proven track record of deploying rulesets into test and production environments effectively. Experience in business rule management systems and integrating them into business applications. Desirable Skills: Familiarity with constructing domain-specific vocabulary for business rules. Experience generating HTDS WSDLs for rulesets. Ability to synchronize and manage the rule studio code base effectively. Knowledge of data governance and how it applies to digital business rules. Competencies: Digital: Data Governance and leveraging digital solutions for business optimization.
