Job Title: Public Safety Linux Engineer

Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in office @ 2 MetroTech
Center, Brooklyn, NY /2 days per week remote)

Experience: 12+ YEARS

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

TASKS:

Engineering and administration of Veritas products including
Cluster Server, Volume Manager, File System, and other clustering &
replication technologies.

Engineering and administration of OpenShift for container
orchestration, application deployment, and workload management.

Automation and configuration management using Ansible to
streamline deployments, updates, and system configurations.

Engineering and administration of Infoblox DNS for IP
address management (IPAM), DNS, and DHCP services.

Execute Unix performance-related utilities to analyze and
optimize system performance.

Engineering and administration of SUN/UNIX/Linux-based
systems with a focus on mission-critical Public Safety applications and
deployments.

Engineering and administration of SAN storage infrastructure
in relation to SUN/UNIX/Linux-based systems.

Administration of SUN/UNIX/Linux-based systems on both
physical and virtual servers, including software management.

Administration of servers with experience in Red Hat Linux,
Solaris, and AIX environments.

Administer and support critical infrastructure tools
including Oracle Database, MySQL, DB2, Percona XtraDB Cluster, Sendmail,
Solaris Security, Jumpstart, LDAP, Tivoli, BladeLogic, NetIQ, VMware, DNS, NFS,
Solaris Zones, and RedHat Satellite Server.

Perform OS upgrades and patch installations to maintain
system security and stability.

Develop and maintain scripts using Bash/KSH, Perl, and
Python to automate administrative tasks.

Provision bare metal installs, configure, operate, and
maintain systems for optimized performance and reliability.

Provision and manage automation tools for system deployment,
maintenance, and template management.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE :

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will
not be considered

All proposed candidates MUST possess at least 12 years of
experience as Linux Engineer.

The following experience / skills / expertise are also
required:

Ansible:

Proficient in creating, managing, and optimizing Ansible
playbooks for system automation.

Experience in configuring, deploying, and managing
infrastructure using Ansible.

Ability to troubleshoot and debug Ansible scripts and roles.

Experience integrating Ansible with enterprise systems,
including security policies and compliance enforcement.

OpenShift:

Skilled in managing, deploying, and maintaining
containerized applications on OpenShift.

Strong understanding of OpenShift architecture, security
policies, networking, and multitenancy.

Experience with OpenShift cluster upgrades, monitoring,
logging, and performance tuning.

Familiarity with Kubernetes fundamentals and container
security best practices.

RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux):

Expertise in managing and troubleshooting RHEL-based
systems.

Familiar with RHEL subscription management and patching
processes.

Knowledge of performance tuning, security hardening, and
scripting in RHEL.

Virtualization:

Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware.

Proficient in managing virtual machines and understanding
virtualization concepts.

Skilled in optimizing and securing virtualized environments.

Infoblox DNS & Network Services:

Experience with DNS architecture, zone management, and DHCP
configurations in Infoblox.

Proficiency in automating DNS/DHCP configurations and
integrating Infoblox with enterprise security solutions.

Troubleshooting network-related issues related to DNS, DHCP,
and IP address management (IPAM).

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Percona:

Knowledge of Percona database solutions, including MySQL and
MongoDB.

Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.

Familiarity with Percona monitoring and management tools.

Dialogic XMS:

Understanding of Dialogic XMS (XMS Media Server)
architecture and functionality.

Experience in deploying and managing multimedia services
using Dialogic XMS.

Ability to troubleshoot and maintain XMS integrations with
communication platforms.

TimeKeeper:

Proficiency in configuring and maintaining TimeKeeper for
time synchronization.

Knowledge of GPS, PTP, and NTP protocols in TimeKeeper.

Ability to troubleshoot synchronization issues in
distributed systems.

Certificates:

Skilled in managing SSL/TLS certificates, including
generation and renewal processes.

Familiarity with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and
certificate-based authentication.

Experience in troubleshooting and implementing secure
certificate configurations.
