Someone hands on. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain systems based on Guidewire Policy Center. Ensure high-quality software development throughout the process. Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of engineers to deliver software that meets business requirements and technical specifications. Stay Updated on Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends in enterprise-level frameworks and platforms to ensure our systems are utilizing the best practices and most efficient technologies. Research and Fact-Finding: Conduct research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems and system integrations. This includes troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Best Practices and Standards: Assist in defining best practices, developing code libraries, and building Proof of Concepts. Contribute to the creation of technical standards and guidelines. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed specifications or designs for programs to be written. Maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications. Software Development: Code, configure, unit test, review code, debug, document, and maintain complex software applications, ensuring high standards of quality and performance. Leadership and Mentorship: Lead a medium-sized development team, providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers, ensuring the continuous improvement of skills and technical capabilities. Experience with other Guidewire modules (e.g., BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) would be a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms and enterprise-level architectures. Previous experience in leading software development teams. Required Qualifications: Guidewire Policy Center: Strong experience working with Guidewire Policy Center, including developing and maintaining systems on this platform. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Gosu, RESTful APIs, and web services. Strong coding and debugging skills in these technologies. Software Development Experience: Proven experience in software development, including designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications in an enterprise environment. Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team setting, collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications (if any): Guidewire certifications (if applicable). Certifications in software development or related technologies (e.g., AWS, Java, etc.).
