Try to find someone around that would be willing to convert at $80-85K Visa: USC and GC SUMMARY: The Sr. Associate, Cyber Security provides cyber intelligence and protection, monitor threats, secures digital networks, and implements the best security measures. RESPONSIBILITIES : Respond to system-generated alerts and alerts from a 3rd party SOC. Determine the validity and priority of alerts and respond appropriately Evaluate logs, reports, and other data feeds to identify cyber security issues, and generate alerts when appropriate Perform firewall rule changes and monitor firewall activity Complete monthly cyber security reporting, and annual NIST CSF audit Perform vulnerability scans via Qualys. Identify system vulnerabilities. Prioritize, coordinate, and track remediation Identify, report, and track cyber security risks and corrective actions Configure and monitor Azure security tools such as conditional access rules, risk policies, and Microsoft secure score Monitor and document changes to security controls Manage email filtering solution (Harmony) Train Baltimore Life employees on cyber security best practices Coordinate incident response and complete security incident reports when incidents occur Respond to information requests from auditors and forensics teams Act as primary contact for external security testers and develop responses to their findings Coordinate monthly employee phishing test campaigns and quarterly cyber security training Coordinate the implementation of new cyber security solutions and updates Assist with the creation and maintenance of security policies and procedures Accommodate a 24/7 response time for security alerts Assist in the planning and preparation of internal audit engagements, including defining scope, objectives, and criteria Assist with audits of the company's compliance-related activities Offer practical, clear recommendations for improving compliance controls and processes to ensure continuous compliance Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and action plans Participate in risk management related meetings and contribute to discussions on risk-related issues EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Four years of experience in a cyber security role Bachelors degree in an Information Technology related field strongly preferred Security Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SANS, or vendor specific certification preferred SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Hands-on experience with Windows Server / Active Directory / Group Policy / Microsoft security baselines Azure AD / Entra ID management / Conditional access rules and risk policies Palo Alto firewalls and Meraki security devices Vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys preferred) Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks, common ports and protocols. Experience analyzing logs, firewall activity, and identifying indicators of compromise. Intermediate knowledge of Power Experience implementing / auditing industry cyber security frameworks, such as the NIST CSF or CIS.
