As a key member of our IT Operations team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Linux-based servers. You will also provide support for system administration tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the high availability and performance of our Linux environments.Key Responsibilities: Administer and support Linux-based servers, particularly RHEL, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Install, configure, and maintain RHEL operating systems on physical and virtual machines. Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure security compliance and optimal system performance. Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication processes. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, network, or software configurations. Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures. Manage and troubleshoot network configurations, storage, and file systems. Automate repetitive tasks using scripts or configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet). Support and manage system security, including firewall configurations, SELinux, and access controls. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of applications and services into the Linux environment. Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain up-to-date operational knowledge. Respond to and resolve support tickets related to Linux systems in a timely manner.Qualifications: Certification: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or higher (e.g., RHCE). Experience: 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and management of RHEL. Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and scripting (Bash, Python). Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.). Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of system performance tuning, security, and troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of network services (DNS, NFS, HTTP, etc.) and system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.). Experience with version control systems like Git. Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
