Key Responsibilities: Business Intelligence Reporting: Design, develop, and enhance SAP Business Intelligence and Power BI reports to drive impactful data insights. Data Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of SAP BI and Colleague data elements to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable reporting for business stakeholders. Collaboration & Liaison: Act as the bridge between the end-user departments and the technical team, ensuring seamless communication, gathering business requirements, defining specifications, and creating test plans. Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with business intelligence reports, interfaces, and data discrepancies, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Project Management: Lead or participate in technical projects using formal methodologies, working with internal teams, end-users, and external vendors. Technical Support: Provide guidance and support to Programmer/Analysts with data element analysis, API integrations, and batch interface data. Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of the curve with technological advancements and suggest new solutions to optimize data processing and reporting. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of processes, specifications, and solutions while following Macombs security and change management policies. What You Bring to the Table: Experience: 7+ years as a Business Analyst with expertise in business intelligence report generation, data element analysis, and system integration. SAP BI & Colleague Expertise: At least 4 years of hands-on experience with SAP BI and Ellucian Colleague Student Information System (SIS), including knowledge of their data structures and table relationships. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP BI Web Intelligence/Business Objects, and hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL. Familiarity with Unidata databases is a plus. Collaboration & Communication: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including end users and technical staff, to deliver solutions that meet business needs. Technical Acumen: Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure data integrity in business intelligence reports. Project Management: Experience leading or participating in technical projects, managing timelines, and coordinating tasks across multiple teams. Preferred Skills: Experience with Microsoft Power BI and SQL. Familiarity with Unidata databases. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint).
