Job Title: Network System Engineer Location: Albany, NY or Rochester , NY Duration: Long term contract ONLY LOCAL TO NEW YORK ONLY (NON LOCAL PROFILE NOT ACCEPTED START DATE ASAP..... Description: Obtain and review Atoll plots (RSRP, best server PCI, SINR) from RF design engineers; discuss azimuth and downtilt recommendations with the Service Provider (SP) and RF AOR engineers. Utilize the VPT tool for event monitoring and reporting; check for alarms or hardware issues and coordinate with the Network Assurance (NA) team for rectification. Conduct audits of site parameters, including EARFCN, transmit power, antenna tilt, and PCI clashes, ensuring proper neighbor cell relationships and implementing corrective actions. Provide hourly trends of major KPIs and key performance highlights using the xLPT tool; develop an optimization plan based on in-depth analysis and create action items for identified issues. Identify cells with degraded KPIs, make necessary parameter adjustments, and handle load balancing to improve performance. Perform root cause analysis for metrics issues such as LTE bearer drops and VoLTE ineffective attempts, determining the scope of degradation (single cell, cluster, or wider area). Analyze performance data from the last 15-30 days, comparing it with historical baselines, and check operational logs for configuration changes aligning with degradation times. Investigate neighboring cell performance and outages due to hardware issues; perform pre-drive tests to identify potential hotspots and provide a performance summary post-event. Use TrueCall for coverage and quality analysis, assess external factors (e.g., seasonality and interference), and correlate KPIs with drive test data for comprehensive analysis. Implement parameter and tilt changes, monitor KPIs post-adjustments, and perform post-drive tests as necessary, update trackers with all changes. Extract network configuration data from MongoDB and collect configuration data from USM and design databases for all node types (eNodeB, ADPF, ACPF, AUPF). Create USM plans for auditing standard configurations, generate work orders, and implement corrections, while auditing and updating nodes to the latest GPL version.
