This role is pivotal in addressing critical data integrity and mapping challenges to ensure our data is accurate, consistent, and actionable for strategic decision-making. The Principal Data Analyst will serve as a NextGen data Subject Matter Expert (SME), collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including analytics, data governance, and reporting, to design and implement solutions that enhance the usability and utility of our data assets. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Modeling: Analyze and model EHR and revenue cycle data within the NextGen EHR ecosystem to resolve data integrity and mapping challenges. Develop robust data models and pipelines to support executive-level reporting and operational analytics. Reporting & Visualization: Design and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI to deliver actionable insights. Ensure alignment between analytics outputs and business goals through effective data transformation and visualization. Collaboration: Partner with technical and functional teams to align data processes with operational requirements. Act as a liaison between the analytics, data governance, and reporting teams to streamline data workflows and enhance data quality. Technical Expertise: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data for reporting and analysis. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on NextGen EHR-related data practices. Governance & Best Practices: Establish and maintain data governance standards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security. Document processes, workflows, and solutions to build organizational knowledge. Qualifications Experience: 8+ years of experience in EHR/revenue cycle data modeling, analysis, and reporting. 5+ years of specialized experience working with NextGen EHR systems, focusing on practice management and revenue cycle data. Technical Skills: Proven expertise in data modeling and SQL, with the ability to handle large, complex datasets. Proficiency in creating dynamic, user-centric reports and dashboards using Power BI. In-depth knowledge of EHR data structures and workflows, specifically within NextGen. Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
