Location: Orlando, FL.

4 days onsite per week. 

The mandatory skills are as follows:

We need cloud data engineer with extensive hands-on development experience in priority order: 

1. OpenSearch (cluster setup, search tuning) 

2. Neptune (design, ingestion, storing, node relationship development. Query optimization) 

3. Terraform 

4. Glue ETL 

5. Lambda

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience, specifically in AWS cloud technologies, to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in OpenSearch, Neptune Graph Database, AWS Glue ETL, and related cloud-native solutions. This role will require proficiency in Python, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AWS services to design, build, and optimize cloud-based solutions for data management and search capabilities. The Software Engineer will focus on deploying, maintaining, and scaling cloud-native applications, integrating data systems efficiently, and ensuring robust security and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize data-driven solutions using Python, AWS Glue ETL, and Apache Spark to process large-scale data in an AWS cloud environment.

Manage and optimize complex search solutions with OpenSearch (and Elasticsearch), including writing and managing indices and queries to ensure scalability and performance.

Architect, develop, and maintain data solutions with AWS Neptune Graph Database, including writing and optimizing queries using Cypher and Gremlin to support graph-based analytics and applications.

Extensive experience in Glue and Sagemaker Notebook development and executions.

Develop and maintain secure REST APIs using AWS API Gateway and AWS Lambda, ensuring best practices in authentication, authorization, and security.

Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure components, including VPCs, subnets, load balancers, DNS servers, and IAM roles/policies, ensuring a secure and scalable cloud environment.

Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to integrate automated CI/CD pipelines into the development and deployment workflows.

Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Develop and manage Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts for efficient and repeatable cloud infrastructure deployment. Expert in CLI, Gitbash command line environments and deployments

Implement automated testing frameworks, such as pytest, to ensure code reliability and high-quality solutions.

Manage version control using Gitlab, and automate operational tasks via Bash scripting.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including architects, product managers, and engineers, to ensure seamless system integration and timely delivery of solutions.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-based solutions, particularly on AWS, with deep proficiency in Python and Apache Spark (experience with AWS Glue ETL preferred).

Expertise in managing OpenSearch / Elasticsearch queries and index management for large-scale, distributed search solutions.

Solid experience with AWS Neptune Graph Database, including writing optimized queries in Cypher and Gremlin.

Proven ability to design and secure REST APIs using AWS API Gateway and AWS Lambda.

Strong hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure, including IAM roles/policies, VPCs, subnets, load balancers, and DNS servers.

Expert knowledge of AWS IAM roles and policies for secure access control across cloud resources.

Proficiency in basic development skills, including Git, Bash scripting, and version control management.

Solid understanding of software development methodologies, debugging, and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in developing and deploying Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and related tooling.

Experience with automated testing frameworks like pytest to ensure high code quality and system reliability.

Strong ability to collaborate in team-oriented environments and approach complex challenges with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
