Job Title: Network engineer Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot our companys network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in configuring and managing network devices, ensuring security, optimizing performance, and supporting IT teams with networking-related issues. Key Responsibilities: Design, install, and configure LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime. Maintain and upgrade network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Implement network security measures to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access. Perform regular network assessments, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new technologies and ensure seamless connectivity. Support and troubleshoot network-related issues for end-users and other departments. Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and compliance. Stay updated with emerging networking trends, technologies, and security best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 12 years of experience in network engineering, administration, or a related role. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network protocols. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other networking hardware. Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security best practices. Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus. Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
