Position: Sr. Linux Admin Locations: Fort Mill, SC Duration: Contract Job Description: System Administration: Manage and maintain UNIX/Linux systems, including user administration, application support, preventative maintenance, backup, and recovery. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on UNIX/Linux servers. Server Management: Build, configure, and decommission UNIX/Linux servers as needed. Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for system automation using scripting, Python, Perl, or similar languages. Security: Implement and manage security measures, including SSH and PKI, and ensure compliance with security policies. Performance Tuning: Optimize system and network performance parameters. Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members and lead specific projects and initiatives. Qualifications: Experience: 8+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux systems administration. Certifications: RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), Skills: Proficiency in DNS, LDAP, virtualization, and configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Salt Stack.
