Nice to Have Skills: - Experience in PowerBI with reporting or database analysis - Experience with supporting Oracle databases for Java applications. - Experience in the migration of application databases to a new platform Interview Process: Microsoft Teams video required Onsite or Remote The candidate must be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to the start of the role at their own expense. primarily remote Project details (project overview, who the contractor will work with, soft skills needed, etc.): The DHS Database Administrators primary responsibility will be to work with application developers to integrate databases with applications. They will collaborate with developers and project team members, analyze requirements, model data structures, and create efficient database schemas. They will be responsible to manage SQL database backups, recovery procedures, and be a liaison with the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) in the validation of server patching, software upgrades, user access controls, and the creation of new servers or database in the Enterprise SQL or Oracle environment. Additional details: This position is primarily remote with quarterly onsite meetings with the section in the office. Weekend or off work hours may be required to support application upgrades or database maintenance.
