Position : : Jama Expert Location : FULLY REMOTE Duration: : 12+ Months Contract Visa : USC/GC/EAD Interview mode:: video Job Description Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the deployment of Jama within a medical device manufacturing environment, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Work closely with Quality Management Systems (QMS) teams to integrate Jama with other QMS processes and tools, ensuring smooth cross-functional communication and data flow. Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, quality, and compliance teams to define system requirements and ensure Jama is configured to meet these needs. Assist in developing and maintaining Jama workflows, including customizations, configurations, and user permissions, to support the organization's product lifecycle management. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to internal teams, ensuring Jama is fully utilized to its potential. Train and mentor internal users on best practices for utilizing Jama, creating documentation and training materials as needed. Analyze and identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiencies, ensuring Jama continues to align with evolving business needs. Support the migration of data and processes from DOORS to Jama, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the migration. Stay updated on the latest Jama releases and best practices to continuously improve the organization's use of the platform. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Jama Expert with hands-on experience deploying Jama in a regulated environment, particularly within medical device manufacturing. Extensive experience with integrating Jama with QMS systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as FDA, ISO, and IEC. Strong understanding of medical device development processes, including design control, risk management, and validation. Experience working closely with various stakeholders, including engineering, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and compliance teams. Expertise in Jama configuration, customization, and workflow development to align with specific organizational needs. Familiarity with data migration processes, with a specific emphasis on migrating from DOORS to Jama (highly desirable). Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide timely resolutions. Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Jama administration or related platforms. Experience in the medical device industry with an understanding of FDA and ISO 13485 compliance requirements. Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
