This is a hands-on role primarily focused on developing and enhancing our test automation frameworks, tools and automated test cases. This engineer will collaborate with platform engineers and product managers to improve the productivity and test execution time through automation, tools, and other best practices. They will lead initiatives for the team to improve on automation and streamline processes. They will also mentor and support other QA team members, coordinate internal knowledge sharing sessions and implementation of best practices. Responsibilities List: Design, Implement, Enhance Test Automation Frameworks and Tools. Design and implement API and backend automation frameworks and tools to eliminate regressions and ensuring the highest product quality standards. Lead the improvement and implementation of automation best practices which will ensure robust, scalable, and low maintenance automation tests. Work with Scrums teams to maintain reliable automated regression suites. Research and Implement Proof of Concepts for new tools, methodologies and processes which will help meet the goals of continuous quality deployments. Drive adoption of new tools and methodologies. Outcome: Automation, Utilities and Tools implemented to enable rapid deployments which meet quality coverage. Automation Strategy Leadership: Develop and refine the test automation strategy to align with organizational objectives, focusing on scalability and adaptability. Outcome: A scalable, low maintenance, adaptable automation framework that efficiently meets current and future testing needs. Test Optimization and Efficiency: Continuously evaluate and optimize testing processes and automation practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Outcome: Streamlined testing operations that reduce cycle times and improve software quality. Reporting and Metrics: Generate Testing Reports, Create Dashboards to track QA Metrics. Outcome: Track QA metrics to organization goals and KPI's. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with software development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that testing strategies are fully integrated and aligned with project goals. Outcome: Strong alignment between testing processes and business objectives, ensuring that all project requirements are met. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and elevate the QA automation team. Provide guidance and support for professional development and technical challenges. Outcome: A highly skilled and motivated QA team capable of tackling complex automation challenges. Qualification Skill: Proficiency in Manual and Automated Software Testing Techniques at different layers of technology stack, with a focus on API, Integration, Database and Infrastructure Testing. Experience with cloud platform such as AWS, Azure or GCP Experience with Testing Tools and Frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Katalon, XUnit, TestNG) Familiarity with Infrastructure As Code tools such as Terraform and Crossplane is a huge plus.
