The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mainframe architecture, COBOL programming, DB2 database management, and JCL scripting. Key Responsibilities 1. Design and Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, and JCL. 2. COBOL Programming: Write efficient and well-documented COBOL code, using best practices and adhering to coding standards. 3. DB2 Database Management: Design, develop, and maintain DB2 databases, including schema design, data modeling, and performance tuning. 4. JCL Scripting: Write JCL scripts to automate batch jobs, manage mainframe resources, and ensure efficient processing. 5. Testing and Debugging: Test and debug mainframe applications, identifying and resolving issues quickly and efficiently. 6. Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing maintenance and support for mainframe applications, including troubleshooting, updates, and enhancements. Requirements 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 2. Experience: 3+ years of experience in mainframe development, with expertise in COBOL, DB2, and JCL. 3.
