Candidates must be available to interview onsite at the Lansing office. A screenshot photo of candidate will be required for any interviews as well as a vendor present at beginning of any virtual interviews, if requested. The Software Test Analyst 5 will support multiple software development projects for the State of Michigan - Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB), specifically for the Department of Health and Human Services. This role involves working as a tester and analyst on various ongoing projects. The selected candidate will work in an agile environment to write and execute use cases, develop test plans, and create testing scripts for custom .NET web applications. Top Skills & Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience designing and executing manual and automated test cases. 5+ years of experience with API testing and tools such as Postman, Rest Client, or similar. 5+ years of experience writing SQL and P-SQL queries. 5+ years of experience using accessibility compliance testing tools, such as AccVerify, JAWS, or similar. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes, including Quality Assurance, User Acceptance, System Integration, Accessibility, Performance, Regression, Post-Deployment Validation, and Data Conversion. Experience in building test suites for environments such as DEV, UAT, QAT, and PRE-PROD, with integrated application lifecycle management. Required Skills & Experience (5+ years): Designing and executing manual and automated test cases. Understanding the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile development environment. In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes, including Quality Assurance, User Acceptance, System Integration, Accessibility, Performance, Regression, Post-Deployment Validation, and Data Conversion. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design test cases. Proficiency in Java and JavaScript. Issue tracking and defect management. Experience in generating and documenting test plans, strategies, reports, and metrics. API testing experience using tools such as Postman, Rest Client, or similar. Proficiency in writing SQL and P-SQL queries. Experience using accessibility compliance testing tools such as AccVerify, JAWS, or similar. Ability to generate and acquire test data. Availability to work in person in downtown Lansing two days per week. Experience in building test suites for DEV, UAT, QAT, and PRE-PROD environments with integrated application lifecycle management. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with industry-standard automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Provar, Katalon). Experience using Azure DevOps Testing Module. Experience in mobile application testing for iOS and Android. Knowledge of performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
