Job Title: Axiom Developer Location: Chicago, ILLINOIS-HYBRID (NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE) NOTE: Interview Process: 1-Hour Zoom Interview (Possible 2nd Round Onsite) Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Axiom Developer for a contract position at Northern Trust Financial. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in Axiom Controller View development, regulatory reporting, and data warehousing. This position requires strong technical and analytical skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties & Responsibilities: Develop Axiom objects such as Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthands, Portfolios, Aggregations, and perform other data mapping activities. Map and configure free-form and tabular reports and automate Axiom workflows. Configure APAC taxonomy reports (Singapore, Australia) and work on EMEA regulatory reporting initiatives. Experience with US regulatory reports (FFIEC031, FFIEC041, FFIEC009) is beneficial. Review project documents such as BRD and FSD to understand the design and solution architecture. Hands-on development of ETL jobs and scripting. Develop and review PL/SQL & other DB codes to support data sourcing into Axiom. Ensure code adheres to predefined company and department standards. Optimize performance within Axiom Controller View and at the database level. Prepare and execute detailed unit test cases. Migrate Axiom components across environments. Work closely with BAs and users to understand functional documents and develop reports. Maintain compliance with regulatory reporting and data warehousing requirements. Preferred/Required Skills & Experience: 8-10 years of IT industry experience. Minimum 3 years of hands-on development experience with Axiom Controller View. Strong knowledge and expertise in regulatory and risk reporting modules (e.g., Prime Reports, CCAR, SCCL, FR2052a). Experience working with financial and reporting data. Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work closely with business partners and technology teams to provide technical walkthroughs.
