Several years of experience in data migration, proving a track record of successful data transfer projects. Strong Managed File Transfer architectural design experience Clear understandings on communication protocols HTTPS/FTP/SFTP Clear understanding of network segmentation, LAN, VLAN, DMZ Experience in disaster recovery high availably resiliency planning and execution Strong working knowledge of Networking and Infrastructure capabilities and interactions with Managed File Transfer Processes Experience with scripting and orchestration Transact SQL / Power/Python Experience with configuring end to end setups installations, upgrades, patching and troubleshooting issues Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GoAnywhere MFT solutions using sFTP/HTTPS communications Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). Strong Financial services industry knowledge Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Scope: Purchased the GoAnywhere product Go anywhere is a MFT system (owned by Fortra) hired to developers for 2 shifts; master file transfer system Manage documented, archive encrypt various documents Spending too much $ on support so want to bring in an FTE to do the work versus two contractors Want someone to own the system, guidance on versions, patching, know the product Not doing the install but providing guidance knows whats happening with the product People in place Doesnt comprehend the business side of why theyre doing things Strong communicator, work through issues with clients (they use SFTP but dont know how to) Goanywhere is a huge plus versus a must, a similar product would work Technical skills Help customers debug SFTP comms (what port do I use) do I need to encrypt, do I need a certificate knows nuance around the SFTP communications Senior person someone who knows this has done it and can handle it Gone through the package, knows the workflow around the job, connect to file server, flow Do we need to unzip encryption This person would be the main developer; the lead is more of a liaison help keep everything together related to the customer -details the files going in or out Functional: This position is responsible for managing our GoAnyWhere software system, associated hardware and operating systems relevant to the Enterprise Managed File Transfer function. Monitor performance of GoAnyWhere and take action on changes. Respond to application outages and perform routine maintenance on assigned applications. Perform routine changes as assigned and according to change management procedures on the MFT Team. Provide level 2 and 3 support for projects and implemented initiatives Identify, isolate, and troubleshoot issues and drive development of solutions Assist with capacity planning to ensure GoAnyWhere is scaled to meet current and projected capacities. Maintain version, patch and security levels, in accordance with the strategic direction of the company. Core: Experience deploying and managing servers, WIN, RHEL, FTP/SFTP Environments to include: Installation, configuration, maintenance and managing upgrades of applications. Performance monitoring and optimization Attention to details and thoroughness with deployment. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills that include: Understanding hardware and software issues related to the application Addressing network connectivity Recovering data from systems failures Automation and scripting Experience with FTP/SFTP software ( e.g., GoAnyWhere) preferred. Ability to work independently and manage deliverables. Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
