This is a PROACTIVE requisition Required Skills Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java AWS Full Stack Developer to join our Randstad client in Washington, DC. This role is focused on developing, automating, and maintaining backend applications using Java and AWS technologies. The ideal candidate has expertise in full-stack development, AWS cloud services, continuous integration, and test automation while working in an Agile environment. This hybrid position requires onsite presence for team meetings and in-person PI Planning events in DC or Wilmington. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and AWS CDK. Design, build, and automate cloud-based applications using AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Aurora, and Redshift. Implement Spring Boot-based microservices and ensure seamless integration with AWS cloud technologies. Work with GitHub/GitLab, SonarQube, JUnit, and other development tools to maintain high code quality. Develop and manage APIs using REST and SOAP-based web services. Utilize various J2EE technologies, including Hibernate, Servlets, JMS, JDBC, and concurrent programming. Implement security models, role-based authentication (JAAS), encryption techniques, and HTTPS protocols. Apply TDD and BDD methodologies to write and design effective unit test cases. Utilize JavaScript frameworks for front-end development when necessary. Participate in all phases of software development, from requirement gathering to deployment and operations.
