Position : Power BI Consultant Location : Onsite-Houston, TX (locals preferred) Duration: : 12mth-18mth+ contract to hire Visa : USC/gc/gc ead /ead Interview mode:: video Job Description Responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data visualization and business intelligence needs. Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and generate visually appealing and insightful reports. Create custom visualizations and implement row-level security (RLS) on data. Build data models and develop dashboards using Power BI Desktop. Integrate Power BI reports into other applications to provide enhanced business capabilities. Use advanced level calculations on the data set using DAX functions in Power BI. Design and create high-quality visuals using Figma to enhance the user experience. Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure the functionality of reports and dashboards. Document the processes used and the methodologies implemented. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI and Figma. Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of experience in Power BI. Over 10 years of experience in the reporting space. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Proficiency in using Power BI tools, including Power BI Desktop, Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI Service. Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating complex calculations, measures, and calculated columns in Power BI. Experience in designing and building reports and dashboards, including data loads and visualization. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with relational databases, Snowflake, AWS RDS, and APIs.
