Job Description -SAS Application Administrator - HybridLocation - Columbia, SCMust be local to Columbia, SCMust have linkedin. Minimum Required Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Degree Equivalency:
4 years of relevant work experience, or
2 years of relevant work experience plus an associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum Required Work Experience:
8 years of experience in application development, systems testing, or related roles. Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Includes potential overtime, on-call responsibilities, and occasional weekends.
Partial Onsite: 2-3 days onsite per week. Team Name:
Commercial Systems Business Intelligence Required Skills & Technologies:
Application Administration:
Base SAS Server
SAS Metadata Server
SAS Office Analytics on Windows Server
Nice to Have:
Database Management Systems: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2
Programming Languages: Python (via SASPy), R, Java Responsibilities:
System Management: Implement, configure, and maintain SAS servers and applications.
User Management: Manage user access and permissions for SAS environments.
Maintenance and Support: Perform system updates, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing technical support.
Performance Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and optimize system performance and resource usage. Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (may present to SAS user groups).
Effective under pressure, both individually and as part of a team.
Team-building and collaboration expertise.
Familiarity with project management concepts. Additional Information:This position is being filled to implement and support a new SAS server. The BI team currently consists of six members who support Business Objects and Tableau. The team is highly collaborative, prioritizes work-life balance, and encourages learning and growth. Members are expected to reach out with questions or seek help as needed while contributing to the teams success. Flexible work arrangements are supported whenever possible.
