Visa : USC /GC/EAD Interview mode:: video Job Description We are seeking an experienced Java Back-End Developer to join our Technology team. In this role, you will help design, develop, and maintain backend solutions that directly impact retail operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java-based technologies, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices. Must-Have Skills: 8+ years of experience with Java 1.8, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, RESTful services, JSON, and XML. Expertise in implementing services using REST-based standards and developing microservices. Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases. Solid understanding of design patterns and best practices. Proficiency with ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate. Hands-on experience with unit test frameworks like JUnit and Mockito, emphasizing test-driven development. Proficiency in containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with DevOps tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Maven, Gradle, and code quality tools such as SonarQube. Day to Day: Design, develop, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and microservices to support retail store applications. Collaborate with front-end developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of systems. Implement and maintain REST-based services, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. Develop and optimize relational and NoSQL database structures to meet application requirements. Adhere to and implement design patterns and best practices for coding and architecture. Write and maintain unit tests and leverage test-driven development (TDD) practices. Utilize DevOps tools and processes for code deployment, continuous integration, and quality assurance.
