This role is crucial for ensuring the platforms optimal performance, security, and alignment with organizational data analytics strategies. Key Responsibilities Platform Administration : Oversee the enterprise-wide implementation and configuration of Power BI, ensuring it meets organizational standards and business requirements. Deployment and Governance : Establish and enforce governance policies for Power BI usage, including user roles, permissions, and data security protocols. Performance Optimization : Monitor and tune the Power BI environment to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability for all users. User Support and Enablement : Provide guidance and support to users, including setting up workspaces, dashboards, and dataflows, as well as troubleshooting technical issues. Integration Management : Manage integration of Power BI with other enterprise systems, including databases, cloud services, and third-party tools. Capacity Planning : Assess and plan for platform growth, including license management, resource allocation, and infrastructure scaling. Best Practices Implementation : Develop and maintain documentation on Power BI best practices, workflows, and operational processes. Security Compliance : Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards, including managing data encryption and access controls. Incident Management : Identify, resolve, and prevent technical issues within the Power BI environment. Training and Development : Lead workshops or training sessions to upskill team members and ensure effective use of the Power BI platform. Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 3+ years of experience as a Power BI Administrator, including hands-on experience managing enterprise-wide implementations. Strong knowledge of Power BI architecture, including tenant setup, capacity settings, and administrative tools. Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query, and data modeling concepts. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics), and Active Directory integration. Strong understanding of database systems, data warehousing, and ETL processes. Familiarity with governance frameworks and managing large-scale Power BI deployments. Proven ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications M icrosoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certifications. Experience with scripting languages like Power for automation and platform management. Knowledge of other BI tools or platforms (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) and their integration with Power BI. Experience with Agile project methodologies.
