Position : Network Administrator Location : Remote in PST; preference for candidates local to the Bay Area, CA (occasional on-site visits required) Duration: : 6+ months Visa : USC /GC/EAD Interview mode:: VIDEO Job Description: Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities InfiniBand Expertise: Design, configure, and maintain high-performance InfiniBand-based networks. Network Configuration: Optimize network devices, routers, and switches for peak performance and minimal downtime. Performance Monitoring: Proactively identify bottlenecks and maintain top network efficiency. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues swiftly to prevent service disruptions. Security Management: Implement industry-standard security protocols for robust data protection. Collaboration: Work with IT teams to develop integrated, scalable solutions. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of network changes and incident reports. Hardware/Software Upgrades: Plan and execute infrastructure updates to keep systems current. Vendor Relations: Coordinate with vendors to evaluate and procure equipment while resolving technical issues. Research & Innovation: Stay informed on emerging technologies to implement cutting-edge solutions. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Proven track record as a Network Administrator with expertise in data center networking. Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with InfiniBand technology. Proficiency in network protocols and technologies (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs). Familiarity with virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Certifications: Relevant credentials such as CCNA, CCNP, or InfiniBand certifications are a plus. Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
