Title: Transmission Pipeline Project Manager

Location: Springfield, VA- Hybrid

Duration: 12 months

Visa: USC or GC only

JOB DESCRIPTION

             Coordinate and develop the gas infrastructure needs to meet the demands of the Data Center emerging ecosystem in Northern Virginia including:

             Work with WGL System Planning team on analysis of existing Washington Gas system in Northern Virginia and identification of gaps and infrastructure needs to meet new demand.

             Management of 3rd party engineering contractor to develop initial designs and estimates for needed infrastructure.

             Manage transmission and high pressure, large-diameter distribution pipeline projects from concept through completion including the following aspects:

             Route analysis and selection,

             Project cost estimating,

             Coordinating easement acquisition and permitting,

             Material identification & acquisition,

             Development of construction specifications,

             Assistance with contractor bid and selection process,

             Construction management,

             As-Builting and Documentation activities.

             Manage 3rd party engineering contractor for transmission and high pressure distribution projects.

             Manage permitting activities for transmission and high pressure distribution projects including environmental permitting.

             Manage easement acquisition research and activities for transmission and high pressures distribution projects.

             Manage budget and forecasting duties for projects mentioned above. Assist with the development and justification of annual capital budget items.

You Must Have

             Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical or Civil

             A general knowledge of related pipeline engineering disciplines and applicable codes and standards.

             Experience with and ability to work with 49 CFR 192 DOT code

             Experience with easement acquisition and Right-of-Way permitting

             Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with internal and external business partners.

             7+ years experience project management with natural gas pipeline projects or related energy industry projects.

             Professional Engineering (PE) Certification is preferred
