Position : Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (GCP/Terraform) Location :Westlake, TX 76262 Work Type: Hybrid 2-days IO / 3-day WFH Duration : 6+ Months contract with extensions Mode of interview : Video Candidates Accepted: USC, GC, H1B Job description : This exceptional opportunity is ideal for a Certified Senior GCP and Terraform Engineer who can showcase their expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Google Cloud Platform and Terraform. The role requires a solid background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with a specialization in Terraform, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on GCP. Our client is undergoing a significant transition to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), migrating their data and applications to the cloud. This large-scale initiative is accompanied by the maturation of their operational processes to align with cloud-based technologies. For the right candidate, this presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects across multiple teams, with ample potential for growth and impact. Job Responsibilities Provision Services and resources on GCP Fix, and improve infrastructure continuously Troubleshoot operational issues related to infrastructure Monitor, fix, and improve infrastructure continuously Collaborate with internal teams and respective stakeholders to understand user requirements and implement technical solutions Develop self-service infrastructure provisioning, delivery pipelines, log and monitoring services. Technical Skill Set In-depth knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Big Table, Big Query, Composer, etc. 3 to 5 years + experience on GCP with expertise in Terraform , including writing and maintaining Terraform configurations and modules 5+ years of experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab) Strong understanding of Cloud architecture principles, security best practices, and networking in GCP Knowledge of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies Skilled in system-level architecture, like Linux or Windows DevOps experience is required GCP Platform Provisioning Skill set GCP Services and Resource provisioning BigQuery Composer GCS Buckets Dataproc Vertex AI Cloud SQL Role Bindings Bind roles to AD Groups and service accounts for above services Terraform scripting is REQUIRED Terraform Enterprise experience is required Build Terraform scripts for Service provisioning and role bindings Build Terraform scripts for monitoring and Alerting Environment support Perform Service upgrades Resolve platform problems in lower environments Support Production Support team to troubleshoot issues in higher environments REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS Bachelors in Computer Science - REQUIRED HashiCorp Certification: Terraform Associate - REQUIRED Google Cloud Certification - REQUIRED ADDITIONAL PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS HashiCorp Certification: Vault Associate preferred Professional DevOps certification preferred NOTE: If I miss answering over the phone The BEST way to communicate is through an EMAIL or LinkedIn.
