JOB TITLE: Data Tech Lead LOCATION: Charlotte, NC or Cincinnati, OH-HYBIRD (NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE) Visa: GC or USC Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team at Kroger. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PowerBI/Fabric, MS Azure, ETL Pipeline Development, Databricks, and APIs, with a focus on cloud data engineering in Azure. This role involves working with stakeholders to understand their needs and providing insights based on data, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks. Build and manage cloud data engineering solutions in MS Azure, including working with Data Lakes, Cosmos, Synapse, and Azure SQL. Work with APIs (REST, PySpark) to integrate and manage data. Perform data engineering tasks using PowerBI/Fabric to create reports and dashboards. Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data processing. Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to understand data needs and deliver insights. Ensure efficient data workflows across the cloud environment and ensure data integrity and performance. Contribute to the development of machine learning models and frameworks where applicable. Mandatory Skills: Strong reporting skills with PowerBI/Fabric. Experience with MS Azure and cloud data engineering. Proficiency in ETL Pipeline Development, Azure Data Factory (ADF). Hands-on experience with Databricks (absolute must-have). Exposure to APIs (REST, PySpark). Solid experience with Cloud Data Engineering in Azure. Scripting experience with , Python, and R. Strong SQL skills for data management and query optimization. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders and product managers. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Azure Data tools: Data Lake, Cosmos, Synapse, and Azure SQL. Experience with Machine Learning frameworks. Familiarity with ETL pipeline development in GCP. Knowledge of JavaScript, Java, and Android development is a plus. Qualifications: Proven experience in cloud data engineering with a focus on MS Azure. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
