Job Title: Big Data Engineer with GCP Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid) (Local) Duration of project: 6 months+ Required visa: Any visa (Except H1B and CPT) Seeking a hands-on engineer & technical advisor to lead clients migration to GCP from Azure. MUST HAVE: GCP experience. Responsibilities: Set up monitoring, logging, alerting and cost management dashboards using Cloud Monitoring & Logging tools. Setup Google Cloud's data analytics (e.g., BigQuery) and underlying architectures. Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering, business, customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud migration. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to client in Google Cloud Migration Collaborate with client and stakeholders to understand functional requirements & define non-functional requirements to deliver Google Cloud Platform solutions Write product or system development code Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide how to best setup and configure Google Cloud Platform Qualifications: Extensive experience in designing and implementing Google Cloud Platform. Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containerization, and security. Experience in designing and automating infrastructure components (e.g., compute, networking, storage and cloud native technologies) for scalability, high availability and performance. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud services like GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Cloud Monitoring & Logging. Experience in data analytics, warehousing, Extract Transform and Load (ETL) development, data science, or other Big Data applications.
