State of NC Experience working for State government is highly preferred. Currently we are looking for a qualified individual to work as a Power Builder developer with our direct client in Remote/Raleigh. The client is seeking a Technical Specialist analyst/designer/developer for a 12-month engagement for the Engineering Application Services Department (EAS) to enhance and maintain a mission-critical application for the department called HiCAMS Skills Experience as a PowerBuilder developer using PB10 or more recent versions. Strong SQL skills (HiCAMS uses a Sybase database but SQL skills in any database platform are acceptable). Strong Microsoft Suite experience, particularly Excel. Experience working in a remote software development environment. Strong analytical, conceptual, and technical skills. Positive interpersonal skills coupled with an independent, self-motivated work ethic. Ability to work with a custom base-class. Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business user. Development experience in C#. Desired Development experience in Java. Desired Development experience in C+. Desired Experience coding stored procedures and triggers (any database). Desired Experience developing .net applications and APIs in a Visual Studio environment. Desired Data conversion experience.
