Start: ASAP Duration: open ended, most stay on for years or convert to an FTE Interview Process: Video screen Panel with 2 developers that will include technical questions and one live coding session in person Local only! Must be onsite 4x per week onsite interview required! Must have jquery in last 18 months Must Haves: Bachelors degree in CS or something similar Java, Spring, Spring MVC, JSP, JQuery, Multithreading, SQL Database Design, Restful, some front end experience Ability to work in a fast paced, cross-team environment with tight deadlines Pluses: Angular, React, AWS Culture fit: being honest about their skillset and being willing to learn. Senior Java Developer role is 50% middle tier Server and 50% presentation tier. Developers are expected implement requirements from the front end through to the database / OOM layer. Responsibilities: Work with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate to design Source code development Unit test case development Functional/system integration testing support and Deployment Integrate component design Support production as needed and meet development schedules Qualifications: Bachelors Degree Minimum 8 years of experience developing web-based applications Minimum 8 years development experience in Java/J2EE technologies Experience with multi-threading using core Java libraries particularly the Executor framework. Experience with Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, MyBatis Experience using and implementing RESTful web services Experience with JBoss, Apache, Tomcat. Experience with Java, JavaScript, JSP, CSS, HTML, Angular. Knowledge of with AJAX techniques and modern JavaScript libraries like jQuery Knowledge of XML, XSLT, and JSON Strong understanding of SQL database design and stored procedures Familiarity with developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions Must have good understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, maintainability, security) Familiarity with Web application security considerations Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
