This role requires expertise in and Python scripting, as well as experience with IBM InfoSphere product administration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting in a shared environment. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and support IBM InfoSphere products, ensuring compliance with IT security policies. Administer DataStage environments (v11.5 and v11.7) across multiple domains, including initial setup, upgrades, and patch installations. Monitor and optimize environment performance, re-sizing infrastructure as needed. Develop and maintain tools and processes for efficient use of DataStage, including setting up environment parameters and managing security and permissions. Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal use of shared resources and provide ETL development support. Document and update Runbooks, disaster recovery plans, and capacity forecasts. Manage system stability through preventative maintenance, monitoring, and long-term solutions. Work with IBM support to resolve technical issues and apply necessary fixes, patches, and service packs. Preferred Skills: Strong experience with DataStage installation, configuration, and environment management. Proficiency in and Python scripting. In-depth knowledge of ETL best practices in design and implementation. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, optimize performance, and perform capacity planning. Willingness to work occasional weekends and after-hours for upgrades.
