Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime. Oversee user account administration, permissions, and access controls. Security & Patch Management Develop and maintain patch management processes to keep systems up to date. Implement and utilize Tanium for endpoint security, patching, and threat response. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediate identified issues promptly. Virtualization Administration Manage VMware environments, including provisioning, maintenance, and performance tuning. Optimize virtualized infrastructure for efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness. IT Hardware Support Coordinate hardware installations, upgrades, and repairs. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and capacity planning. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and meet organizational IT needs. Provide user support and training where necessary, ensuring a high level of customer service. Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 610 years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role. Technical Skills Solid understanding of Windows Server administration, including Active Directory and Group Policy. Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization technology. Proficiency in security patch management and system hardening, with specific experience using Tanium. Hands-on experience with IT hardware support, storage, and backup solutions. Soft Skills Organization & Time Management: Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Results-driven mindset with a passion for troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Additional Desirable Qualifications Familiarity with IT Operations Management principles and best practices. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft/VMware certifications are a plus.
