JOB TITLE: Sr. Tableau Report Developer/ETL LOCATION: Hartford, Connecticut- HYBRID (NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE)-(Hybrid: Onsite 1 day per week or 2 days every two weeks) Citizenship Requirements: US Citizens or GC only About the Role The State of Connecticuts Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a Sr. Tableau Report Developer/ETL to support mission-critical applications such as LINK and IV-E. These systems play a vital role in child welfare case management, enabling social workers and case managers to improve the safety, permanency, and well-being of children in care. The candidate will serve as a senior-level Lead Developer to support existing .NET applications and participate in the SDLC process for the next-generation Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS). Responsibilities include creating and maintaining Tableau reports, SSRS reports, and SSIS ETL packages, as well as contributing to data migration and integration initiatives. Scope of Work The Sr. Tableau Report Developer/ETL will: Design and develop Tableau reports to meet user requirements. Create and maintain database architectures, including relational data structures, data marts, and data models. Develop strategies for data acquisition, quality assurance, and discrepancy resolution. Assist in data migration and integration from legacy systems to modern platforms. Develop efficient and well-documented SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers using Microsoft T-SQL. Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion, cleansing, and distribution. Optimize SSIS package execution and SQL performance. Develop and deploy reports to servers, including Tableau and integrated SharePoint report servers. Ensure best practices in data analytics, ETL pipelines, and near real-time data solutions. Validate data flows and prepare ETL processes based on business requirements. Required Skills and Experience Candidates must have: 5+ years of experience with Tableau. 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries. 5+ years of expertise with T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS or Talend. Experience with debugging and optimizing query performance. Proficiency in deploying SSIS packages using Git, setting up environmental variables, and creating SQL Agent jobs. Strong problem-solving, cross-functional analysis, and forward-thinking abilities. Experience with Transact-SQL and stored procedures. Knowledge of version control systems such as Team Foundation. Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Salesforce. Experience with MuleSoft. Hands-on experience with Talend reports. Knowledge of secure file transfer protocols (FTP/SFTP) and file import/export. Additional Information Work Schedule: Hybrid: Onsite 1 day per week or 2 days every two weeks.
