JOB TITLE: Cloud Database Engineer (Oracle, RDS, AWS) LOCATION: Plano, Texas-Hybrid (NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE ONLY) Job Summary Capital Ones Auto Financing Division is seeking a Cloud Database Engineer with expertise in Oracle, RDS, AWS, and cloud database management. The role focuses on compliance tasks, system upgrades, testing, and optimizing reliability, scalability, and performance tuning in the database environment. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday in Plano, TX. Key Responsibilities Perform compliance-related tasks in the database environment. Upgrade database systems, test, and optimize for reliability and scalability. Conduct performance tuning and system optimization. Manage and maintain Oracle RDS databases in AWS infrastructure. Collaborate with the team to support database and infrastructure needs for Capital One Auto Finance. Implement automation across infrastructure to streamline operations. Required Qualifications Database Expertise: Strong experience with Oracle RDS, Aurora, and Postgres SQL. AWS Knowledge: Hands-on experience with AWS services, including RDS and EC2. Cloud Engineering Skills: Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and database engineering. Performance Tuning: Proven ability to optimize system reliability and scalability. DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus, but the core skillset is focused on database engineering. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in financial services or auto finance is a plus. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team. Additional Details Team/Org: This role supports the Capital One Auto Financing Division. Onsite Expectations: Candidates must adhere to the hybrid schedule and be onsite Tuesday-Thursday in Plano, TX.
