CST or EST time zones is a must ) Visa: USC /GC Only Duration: 6+ Months End Client Improving GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE A MUST Communication is 10/10 Job Title: Data Engineer Snowflake, DBT, and Dagster Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake, DBT, and Dagster (or Airflow) to provide architectural guidance and accelerate project delivery for a client initiative. This role will focus on building foundational data infrastructure, designing efficient data workflows, and implementing data export/import processes across multiple project phases. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in understanding existing systems, designing scalable solutions, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and validation of business requirements. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and understand existing data models. Design and build a new data environment using Snowflake, DBT, and Dagster (or Airflow). Develop and implement data export and import workflows to support project requirements. Collaborate with QA teams to validate business rules and ensure data accuracy. Document architecture, processes, and business rules, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams. Participate in leadership checkpoint meetings to review progress and align on objectives. Required Skills: Expertise in Snowflake for data architecture, implementation, and optimization. Proficiency with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling. Experience with Dagster (or Airflow) for orchestration and pipeline management. Strong knowledge of data export/import processes and pipeline creation. Proven ability to work with large datasets and validate business rules through testing. Additional Skills: Experience in data modeling and scalable data architecture design. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with QA and technical teams. Excellent documentation skills for architecture, workflows, and business rules. Problem-solving expertise to identify and resolve bottlenecks in data workflows. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles, with hands-on experience in Snowflake, DBT, and Dagster. Proven success in projects involving data migration, transformation, and pipeline automation.
