Key responsibilities include establishing best practices in cloud architecture, security, cost efficiency and performance optimization to ensure data integrity and compliance throughout the migration. Experience with conducting assessments to evaluate current VMware configurations, identify workload dependencies, and compatibility with Azure requirements Experience with designing secure and scalable Azure architecture for VMware workloads, focusing on encryption, IAM policies, and networking. Proficient with Azure migration tools (e.g., AWS Migrate, Site Recovery) Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Azure Resource Manager, Terraform) Experience in Hyper-V virtualization platform migrating VMware workload to Hyper V. Experience with configuring virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, RBAC roles, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, Azure Monitor, Azure VMs, and Key Vault. Experience with implementing security best practices to meet compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA) of the target architecture. Azure Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Expert); Azure Certified Security Engineer (preferred); Azure Certified Network Engineer (preferred). Proficient in any one of the latest programming languages.
