Work requires extensive work using a computer. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported. The individual might be part of a weekly on call rotation. Must possess the ability to transport and lift hardware components such as PCs, server equipment, etc. Under general supervision, is responsible for the implementation and technical configuration of the systems infrastructure using defined standards, policies, and procedures necessary to ensure the viability and integrity of the entire infrastructure. Provides customer service, service configuration, incident management, problem management, systems administration and ongoing support. Works under direct oversight with minimal to no deviation from design elements/implementation processes. Individually responsible for meeting project timelines and established SLA's. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Describe all of the responsibilities of the job here, including the essential functions of the job, without which the job cant be performed.) Maintains and supports infrastructure components. Minimal resources would be required to correct errors. Impact of work performed is limited to the departmental level. Typically works with clearly defined parameters but is accountable for own work. Responds to escalated support requests (Tier 2). Troubleshoots system or network issues. Participates in project meetings/provides updates to project team. Develops estimates for own work. Monitors, investigates and escalates security threats. Performs routine maintenance to ensure that all supported devices remain compliant with existing standards and policies. Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the systems. Has regular cross functional interaction with team members, end users, architects and engineers. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent education, training or experience) required.
