Senior Linux Infrastructure & Azure DevOps Engineer Location : Hybrid (Onsite 2 days per week in Pleasanton, California ) Billing Rate : $65-67/hr Contract Type : Contract Key Responsibilities: Transition infrastructure to an infrastructure-as-code approach. Maintenance and expansion of RHEL servers. Kubernetes orchestration platform for containers. Integration of CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes. Automation for Windows/Linux OS, storage, and database platforms. Support for cloud technologies and Azure best practices.Essential Skills & Experience: Containerized Environment & Kubernetes: At least 5 years of experience in large environments using Kubernetes for container orchestration. Linux (RHEL): Minimum 4 years of experience as a power user or administrator (RedHat or equivalent). Windows Servers: At least 3 years of experience, either in application support or administration. CI/CD & DevOps: At least 2 years working with container workloads deployed on Kubernetes (on-prem or public cloud). Automation: Experience in automation (Ansible or similar tools) to reduce operational workload. Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of leveraging cloud technologies (especially Azure) both on-prem and in the cloud. Security Best Practices: Incorporating security into the CI/CD pipeline. Problem-Solving: Identifying performance-related issues and troubleshooting them.Preferred Skills: Documentation/SOPs: 3 years of experience writing system administration documentation. Cloud Native Apps: Experience with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, MongoDB, and Postgres. Network Policies: Experience managing ingress in Kubernetes using NGINX, Istio, and Calico. Docker & Container Management: Building and maintaining Docker images. ServiceNow: Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident and service request management.
