Position: Java Backend Developer with Terraform and DevOps Expertise Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite) Duration: long term Contract Type: w2/c2c Must be available for in person interview and work 5days a week onsite at client office. Position Overview We are looking for a highly proficient Java Backend Developer with expertise in Terraform and DevOps practices to join our growing team. The role focuses on developing scalable backend systems while ensuring efficient infrastructure provisioning and integration with DevOps pipelines. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust backend systems using Java (Spring Boot). Build, test, and deploy scalable, maintainable microservices architecture. Utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation. Collaborate with DevOps engineers to design and manage CI/CD pipelines. Develop APIs and ensure optimal integration with other system components. Monitor application performance and implement optimizations. Secure backend systems by implementing authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms. Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members. Required Qualifications Proven experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks. Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation and management. Strong understanding of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jenkins. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs. Experience with databases (relational and NoSQL) for backend services. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Understanding of frontend development for better integration with backend systems.
