Alternatively, to a Pega Architect with AWS , look for an AWS Architect that has migrated Pega Environments to cloud in Lift and shift projects vs finding a Pega Architect that knows AWS. Someone that can lead the migration from on-prem to the Pega cloud; establishing and validating the proper AWS environment will be critical for the role. MUST HAVES: 3+ years of Hands-on Pega Cloud Architect experience 10+ or total years of Pega PRPC 8.x or above experience 3+ years of experience migrating on-premises applications to Pega Cloud and updating them to the latest Pega version 3+ years of addressing performance issues and ensuring applications run effectively on Pega Cloud on AWS environments Skills: 10 or more years of hands-on experience with Pega PRPC 8.x or above. AWS Solutions Architect Certification: Ideally, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy Understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC security, and data encryption Experience in using Eclipse, Oracle, IntelliJ, and GIT. Experience or familiarity with Maven, CI/CD (Jenkins), New Relic, Splunk, and Postman. Excellent triaging skills and SQL querying expertise to identify issues. Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve team and organizational goals. Should have a can-do attitude, strong analytical skills, be a problem solver, and a self-starter. Prior experience in large-scale healthcare initiatives (Pharmacy benefits or fulfillment preferred but not mandatory). Duties: Recognized internally as the go-to person for complex Pega Cloud Architecture assignments. Uses a deep understanding of Pega application development, deployment, and management top provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Pega Cloud Architecture matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Plan and support the migration project and ensure compatibility with Pega Cloud standards Works closely with client and IT management and staff to identify Pega Cloud solutions, new or modified programs, reuse of existing code through the use of program development software alternatives, or integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives. Acts as the designer for complex major systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of application programming and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., cloud-based, distributed systems, client-server, software, hardware, technologies, and tools, etc.). Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective application programming solution. May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives, and/or integrate purchased solutions. Documents, tests, implements, and provides ongoing support for the Pega Cloud applications. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
