Job Title: IT Business Analyst Corporate Finance, Budgeting & Reporting Location: Raritan, NJ (Onsite - Local candidates preferred) Compensation: $65-70 per hour (C2C)Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support our Corporate Finance, Budgeting, and Reporting teams. The primary focus of this role will be to gather requirements, analyze financial data, and leverage technology to optimize financial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in finance-related systems, particularly SAP and Hana, and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting, budgeting, and financial data management.Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering & Analysis Collaborate with Business Process Owners (BPOs) in Corporate Finance to gather and document IT requirements related to budgeting, reporting, and financial data systems. Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories for development teams. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gain a thorough understanding of business needs and system requirements. Proficient use of JIRA and Scrum for requirements management. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze financial data from various systems (Oracle, SAP Hana, Teradata) to generate insights that inform budgeting and reporting decisions. Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics using tools like SAP, Hana, and Excel. Identify trends and opportunities for process optimization based on data analysis and reporting. System Integration & Optimization Support the integration of financial data between corporate finance systems (SAP, Hana), data warehouse, and other business applications. Identify and address system gaps or inefficiencies in financial processes, working with both IT and business teams to implement improvements. Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data across systems. Corporate Finance & Budgeting Support Assist in the development and maintenance of budgeting systems and processes. Work with finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of data in financial reports and forecasts. Support the tracking and analysis of financial performance against budgeted targets. Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication Work closely with both business and IT teams to prioritize and resolve issues related to financial systems and reporting. Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Provide regular updates to management on system performance, project status, and improvements. User Experience & Process Improvement Gather feedback from users to identify opportunities to improve the usability and functionality of financial systems and reporting tools. Recommend solutions to enhance user experience and drive efficiency in financial processes.Skills & Qualifications: Finance & IT Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate finance, budgeting, and financial reporting systems, with hands-on experience in SAP and Hana. Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis tools, financial reporting software, and system integration. Tools: Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other project management tools for managing requirements and backlogs. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with both business and IT teams. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex issues, propose solutions, and drive improvements in financial systems and processes. Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage relationships with business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders. Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.
