This role combines higher-level systems engineering with hands-on database administration responsibilities. The primary focus will be on managing end-of-life software migrations and alleviating SQL-related workloads for the development team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact strategic projects while working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. Responsibilities: Perform SQL Server upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting, specifically moving from SQL Server 2016 to 2022. Manage and support Windows Server environments integrated with MS SQL Servers. Assist in the decommissioning of end-of-life software and associated server migrations. Collaborate with development teams to reduce their SQL-related workloads. Work with applications hosted in AWS Maintain database performance and integrity while ensuring alignment with project objectives. Required Skills and Qualifications: Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server (installation, troubleshooting, and migrations). Strong background in Windows Server administration. Familiarity with AWS hosting solutions (nice to have) Hands-on experience managing SQL Server lifecycle (from end-of-life decommissioning to deployment). Proven ability to bridge systems engineering and database administration responsibilities effectively. U.S. Citizenship required; Green Card holders may also be considered.
