The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation systems that leverage Allen Bradley PLCs, as well as implementing and managing SCADA systems using Iconics Genesis. Key Responsibilities: PLC Programming & Configuration (Allen Bradley): Develop, test, and maintain PLC programs using Allen Bradley's RSLogix 5000 or Studio 5000. Program and configure Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and SLC500 controllers. Implement motion control systems and I/O configurations for a variety of industrial automation applications. Provide troubleshooting and debugging of existing PLC systems to ensure optimal performance. Perform system integration tasks, ensuring proper communication between PLCs and other automation devices (e.g., HMI, VFD, etc.). SCADA System Implementation (Iconics Genesis): Design, configure, and maintain Iconics Genesis SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and data collection. Develop and deploy graphical interfaces and dashboards for plant operators and management teams. Integrate Allen Bradley PLCs with Iconics Genesis to create seamless data flow and control across the automation system. Configure alarms, trends, and reports within Iconics to enhance system visibility and facilitate decision-making. System Commissioning & Troubleshooting: Lead system commissioning, including testing, validation, and fine-tuning of PLC and SCADA systems. Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to PLC programs and SCADA software. Provide on-site support during system startup and training of plant personnel. Support regular system maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operation. Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure project success. Document all programming and configuration changes in accordance with company standards. Prepare user manuals and system documentation for operation and maintenance purposes. Provide technical support to operators, maintenance staff, and other engineers as required. Required Skills and Qualifications: PLC Expertise: Proficient in programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, SLC500, etc.). Strong experience in developing ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams. Familiarity with RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, and other Allen Bradley programming software. SCADA System Experience: Hands-on experience with Iconics Genesis or similar SCADA platforms. Knowledge of integrating SCADA systems with PLCs and other automation devices. Proficient in developing graphical user interfaces (GUIs), dashboards, alarms, and reports in SCADA systems. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly. Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC) for system integration. Software & Tools: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation. Familiarity with data historian systems and integration with SCADA systems. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Experience in process control, manufacturing automation, or energy management systems. Certification in Allen Bradley products or Iconics Genesis is a plus. Knowledge of safety standards such as ISO, IEC, or NEC.
