JOB TITLE: Data Delivery Lead LOCATION: Waukegan, ILLINOIS -HYBRID (NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE) Overview: AbbVie Pharmaceuticals seeks a Data Delivery Lead to manage end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse (DW) initiatives. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to architect, design, and implement data solutions, dashboards, and reporting capabilities across various business functions. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Teams: o Work alongside developers and business analysts to deliver data and analytics solutions. o Act as a liaison between IT management, product owners, and business teams. Solution Design and Delivery: o Define, develop, and implement data engineering, warehousing, and analytics solutions. o Create and review technical designs that meet business requirements. o Oversee the development of dashboards and reports using data sources like Snowflake, Big Data, Oracle, and other platforms. Data Management: o Lead ETL processes, advanced scripting, and data modeling (e.g., star schema). o Manage large data sets and optimize data warehouse performance. Leadership and Oversight: o Plan, control, and supervise multiple BI projects simultaneously. o Manage offshore development teams and assign work assignments effectively. o Provide technical guidance and ensure project milestones are met. Project Management: o Conduct feasibility studies and estimate time and costs for new projects. o Identify strategies to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery. o Support service operations in multi-sourced and multi-project environments. Continuous Improvement: o Evaluate user requests to determine solutions to business challenges. o Enhance existing processes, tools, and platforms for improved efficiency. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications: Experience: o 10+ years of experience in BI/DW/Analytics roles. o Proven experience delivering projects in modern data warehouse environments like Snowflake. Technical Skills: o Proficient in SQL, Python, PySpark, SnowPark, and other relevant tools for data storage, automation, and manipulation. o Experience with ETL/Orchestration tools like Informatica (IICS and PowerCenter) and AWS Glue. o Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, QlikView, Qlik Sense is preferred. Education: o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Leadership: o Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional collaboration. o Proven track record of coordinating multiple BI projects in parallel. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Life Sciences/Pharmaceuticals, especially in commercial operations. Agile experience and mindset.
